Scottish Highland Tours - Discover Mull & Iona

An early start today on this Highland Tour as we travel South West from Fort William and take you across three Island ferries, through majestic glens and by remote lochs to the Isle of Mull and Iona. 

We journey through Glen Tarbert with Loch Sunart at it's head and onto Lochaline, our second ferry crossing. From here we see our first sighting of the Isle of Mull. On the Island we can vist the mighty Duart Castle, seat of the Clan McLean, standing guard on the entrance to the Sound of Mull and Loch Linnhe.

We travel the length of the island  with the scenery forever changing, to the Island of Iona, with its Columban Abbey and ruins, a spiritual place for people to come to from all over the world.

Mull and Tobermory (option ) Visit the Castle and head through the island to Tobermory, with its brightly-painted houses, and scenic bay. Wander along its waterfront and take in its relaxed pace of life, and , we are pleased to say it has its own Whisky Distillery, where its very own  television series called (Balimory) was filmed.

Unfortunately with all this travelling we must return to the reality of the real world on the return journey back to the 'The Fort', ( another adventure ).
