The most westerly point of the British mainland: this relaxing
tour takes us across the Corran Ferry, away from busy main
roads and hectic lifestyles and onto the remote peninsula.
Here we become accustomed to single track roads (do not panic!),
haunting glens, lochs and everyday Highland wildlife.
Travelling through the ancient extinct volcano we finally
arrive at the working lighthouse and tearoom - the most westerly
point. Here you can visit the lighthouse exhibition,
stop at the most westerly tearoom in Britain and marvel at
the views,or just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet - because
we still have the return journey to go.
On the return journey you can walk out on to the sand to Castle
Tioram, the ancestral seat of Clan Ranald.
Back on the road again, and we stop at Glenfinnan and Loch
Shiel, famed for Bonnie Prince Charlie and the 1745 Uprising,
Harry Potter and many block-busting movies, before returning
home.
